Azerbaijan unveils number of soldiers killed in recent battles on border with Armenia

The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan has published a list of 79 of its servicemen who died in border battles with Armenia from 12 to 14 September.

The list includes the names of 14 officers, 22 non-commissioned officers and sergeants, and 43 soldiers.

Earlier it was reported that as a result of recent clashes with the armed forces of Armenia on the borders of the two countries, 77 Azerbaijani servicemen were killed.

Clashes on the border between Azerbaijan and Armenia ceased on Wednesday evening, September 14.

For its part, the working group of the “Unified Headquarters of the Collective Security Treaty Organization” arrived in Yerevan last Thursday evening. Its purpose, according to the Armenian Defense Ministry, is to carry out a monitoring mission on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan in accordance with the decision taken by the CSTO Security Council.
