Agence France-Presse reported that Australia has officially refused to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
Australia has announced it will no longer recognize West Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, overturning a controversial decision made by the previous Conservative government.
“Jerusalem is a final status issue that must be resolved in any peace talks between Israel and the Palestinian people,” Secretary of State Penny Wong said.
