Attempts to hold a meeting between Erdogan and Lapid on the margins of UN meetings

The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation reported that efforts were being made to hold a meeting between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

Lapid and Erdogan, as well as 157 world leaders, will attend their first full-face meeting in September at the United Nations General Assembly since the start of the coronavirus pandemic in early 2020.
