Even if things could change in the future, insiders at the firm have said that no new mainstream installment of the series is currently in the works.

To rave acclaim, The Division debuted for the first time in 2016. Division 2, which sold over 10 million copies overall, came after that in 2019.

The most recent episode of Season 10 of Division 2 is focused on General Peter Anderson’s narrative. Stopping Anderson from making a deal with the Black Tusk, which would spell The Division’s demise, is the goal of the current season.

Due to bugs created during production, the game’s upcoming major update must currently catch up.

Ubisoft stated at the time stating, “While producing the update that would fix the problem, we found a mistake that brought down the build generation system for The Division 2.”

Players must continue to police New York City and Washington, D.C., as there are no plans for Division 3. Red Storm Entertainment is still working on the spinoff The Division Heartland for those who can’t wait for more episodes of the overall series.

The game will be free to play and feature full PvE gameplay where players accomplish quests and gather gear, as well as PvPvE gameplay for up to 45 players. Originally scheduled to debut in 2022, the game now debuts in 2023.

The anticipated release date for the game has stayed the same as of the time of writing. When it is launched, it will be compatible with PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
