Turkish Minister of Finance and Treasury Nureddin Nebti said that Turkey, due to its geographical position, is in the center and corridor of energy resources coming from Russia, Iran and Saudi Arabia.
In an interview with the English-language channel Arab News, Nibati explained that natural gas and oil can be transported through Turkey safely and at competitive prices.
He added that Turkey seeks to become a base for energy supplies from Saudi Arabia or from other countries.
He continued, “Turkey and Saudi Arabia support each other to bring peace to the region. The world will contribute to lower gas and oil prices.”
He pointed out that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called for taking the necessary measures to turn Turkey into a distribution center for Russian and Iranian gas to the countries of the European continent.
He continued, “Cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Turkey will create new areas of cooperation in the coming period within Turkey’s vision for 2023 and Saudi Arabia’s vision for the future.”
