Ankara discusses the situation in the Aegean and Mediterranean with Washington

Turkish presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin discussed with US National Security Adviser Jack Sullivan the situation in the Aegean and Mediterranean Seas, as well as the Ukrainian crisis.

According to the statement of the Turkish President, Kalin had a telephone conversation with Sullivan, which concerned the situation in the Aegean Sea, the development of the Ukrainian case and bilateral relations between Ankara and Washington.

She added that Kalin stressed that his country “would not hesitate to defend its legitimate rights and interests in both the Aegean and the Mediterranean.”

The statement said that Kalin told Sullivan that his country hoped that the sale of F-16 aircraft from the United States to Turkey would be approved without conditions, and thanked the US administration for its support in this matter.
