Kirill Strimosov, deputy head of the military-civilian administration of the Kherson region, which the Russian army liberated from the people of Kiev, said that on Thursday an explosive device exploded near a pre-trial detention center in the city of Kherson.
He pointed out that “the device was hung on the fence of the garden on the other side of the street, where the detention center is located.”
“As a result of the explosion, minor material damage was caused on the ground, there were no casualties,” he added.
Last Monday, the head of intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov, threatened to “carry out sabotage and terrorist acts on the territory of Russia.”
In a statement to the British newspaper The Financial Times, he said that “partisan activity in the territories controlled by Russia is escalating”, referring to “the detonation of a car bomb in Kherson and the murder of a civil army official.” administration there.
“Such terrorist attacks and sabotage occur everywhere, they have been and will be committed in Russia and in many other places,” he added.
Budanov declined to clarify “whether the Ukrainian government is behind these events.”
