Last Monday, the head of intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov, threatened to “carry out sabotage and terrorist acts on the territory of Russia.”
In a statement to the British newspaper The Financial Times, he said that “partisan activity in the territories controlled by Russia is escalating”, referring to “the detonation of a car bomb in Kherson and the murder of a civil army official.” administration there.
“Such terrorist attacks and sabotage occur everywhere, they have been and will be committed in Russia and in many other places,” he added.
Budanov declined to clarify “whether the Ukrainian government is behind these events.”
