Amr Al-Sulaiya was fined and Al-Ahli was warned.

The management of the Egyptian club “Al-Ahly” received a letter from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) imposing a fine on its player Amr Al-Sulaia for unsportsmanlike conduct in the final of the African Champions League.

Amr Al-Sulaiya was fined $10,000 by the CAF for throwing the silver medal on the ground after receiving it.

Cameras showed him in a state of extreme anger after a 2-0 loss to Moroccan Wydad on May 30, and the silver medal was thrown to the ground as he exited the Mohammed V Complex stadium in Casablanca.

The Al Ahly club has received a warning from the African Union to increase the fine if the bad behavior of its players is repeated in matches of the upcoming African Championships.

It is noteworthy that Amr Al-Sulaiya suffers from a torn back muscle, which he received during the match between Al-Ahly and El Gouna, and he needs a period of at least 6 weeks to return to the stadiums again, especially since the player is under severe stress.
