American football player dies after being injured in a fight during a match

Player Misael Sanchez died in the United States this week from injuries sustained in a brawl that erupted at a football game following a controversial referee decision.

And ABC News reported that Sanchez died last Monday at the age of 29, 15 days after he was attacked by opponents during a game in California.

Police were called after an incident on July 10 following reports of a fight on the soccer field at Oxnard High School in which Sanchez was seriously injured.

Sanchez was then taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition before he drew his last breath.

Police confirmed the man’s arrest in connection with the incident, and authorities called on witnesses to testify about the incident.

An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the exact cause of Sanchez’s death.
