Algerian Oran. Final medal standings of the Mediterranean Games

The curtain came up for the competitions of the 19th Mediterranean Games 2022, which were held in the Algerian city of Oran from June 24 to July 6, 2022.

The current edition of the Mediterranean Games 2022 was attended by 26 countries, including 7 Arab countries: “Albania – Andorra – Bosnia – Croatia – Cyprus – France – Greece – Italy – Kosovo – Malta – Monaco – Montenegro – Portugal – Macedonia – San Marino – Serbia – Slovenia – Spain – Turkey – Egypt – Lebanon – Libya – Morocco – Tunisia – Syria – Algeria.

Italy topped the medal table with 159 medals (48 gold, 50 silver, 61 bronze), followed by Turkey in second place with 108 medals (45 gold, 26 silver, 37 bronze) and then France in third place with 81 medals (21 ). gold, 24 silver, 36 bronze).

Arab countries rating:

Host Algeria ranked first among the Arab countries and fourth among the participating countries with 53 medals (20 gold, 17 silver, 16 bronze), followed by Spain in fifth place with 65 medals (16 gold, 25 silver, 25 bronze).

Egypt finished sixth overall in the Mediterranean Games with 51 medals (13 gold, 15 silver, 23 bronze).

Tunisia is third in the Arab world and tenth overall with 27 medals (6 gold, 8 silver, 13 bronze).

Syria ranked fourth in the Arab world and fourteenth among the participating countries with 7 medals (4 gold, 3 silver).

Morocco finished fifth in the Arab world and fifteenth in the gold medal rankings with 33 medals (3 gold, 13 silver, 17 bronze), followed by Libya in sixth place in the Arab world and twenty-fourth overall. with a silver and one bronze medal, while Lebanon failed to receive a single medal.
