Al-Ahly was promoted to the Saudi Arabian First Division for the first time in its history.

Al Ahli endured a rough and difficult night by announcing their official promotion from the Football League of Prince Mohammed bin Salman to the ranks of first-class clubs for the first time in their history.

Al Ahly’s relegation comes after a goalless draw with Al Shabaab today, Monday, at the end of the Saudi League’s last 30th week of matches.

Although Al Ahly increased his tally to 32 points, these points were not enough to accompany Al Faisali and Al Hazm to the first division after a season in which the team failed to escape and recover significantly from the points loss.

Al Ahli, the 2016 Saudi Pro League champions, were promoted to the First Division for the first time in their history.

Of note, Al Hilal won the Saudi Pro League title this season by beating Al Faisali 2-1 in the final round.
