Al Ahly coach’s first comment after his team lost to the Pyramids

Al-Ahly coach Ricardo Suarez acknowledged the advantage of the Pyramids in that match, that the latter yesterday, on Saturday, in the 25th round of the Egyptian League, won against the Red Genie with a score of 2:0.

“Congratulations to the Pyramids who were better than us in the match and their players were faster and stronger, they won tackles and played better and we deserved to lose,” Suarez said at the post-match press conference.

He added: “Losing is possible in football, but it is unacceptable to lose with such a poor performance. In the next match (on the last round) we were the best and deserved to win, but against the Pyramids we were far from our level. .”

He continued, “By the end of the game against the Pyramids, the players were already tired. We also missed two important opportunities in the first half thanks to Hossam Hassan and Salah Mohsen.”

After this defeat, Al Ahli’s balance sheet was 48 points in third place knowing they had two matches postponed while the Pyramids raised their tally to 53 points in second place, 4 behind leaders Zamalek. points.
