Al Ahly and Manchester City Secure Spots in the 2023 Club World Cup in Saudi Arabia After Recent Victories

The list of teams eligible to participate in the Club World Cup in Saudi Arabia began to take shape after Egyptian club Al Ahli won the African Champions League title and Manchester City won the European Champions League.

The 2023 Club World Cup, which will be held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia next December, is attended by 7 teams.

The English Manchester City qualified for the tournament as the European champion, the Japanese Urava as the Asian champion, and the Mexican Leon as the CONCACAF champion.

This is in addition to the participation of Auckland City as the champion of Oceania and the Saudi Jeddah Federation as the representative of the host nation.

It remains to find out the champion of the South American continent CONMEBOL, as the Copa Libertadores final will take place on November 4 this year, and the group stage is still ongoing.

And in February last year, the International Federation of Football Associations announced that it would commission Saudi Arabia to host the next Club World Cup.

The tournament will be held for the 20th time, from December 12 to 22, without specifying the city in which the matches will be held.
