After moving to an Emirates-owned club, Haaland uses the phrase "InshaAllah"

Manchester City star Erling Haaland used the phrase “God willing” in response to a tweet wishing him a happy birthday.

And the City Xtra account posted a tweet on Twitter congratulating the Norwegian player on his 22nd birthday.

The striker, who recently moved to City, replied: “Thank you, the opening match will be against Bayern, God willing.”

The Emirati-owned English club paid a €60m (currently $60m) penalty clause set by Dortmund on Haaland’s contract, in addition to commissions.

The Norwegian player makes £375,000 a week (about $450,000), the highest of any player on the team, tied with Belgian star Kevin De Bruyne.

Manchester City surpassed all European giants, most notably Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United, who wanted to sign Haaland.

City are expected to play Bayern Munich in a friendly on 24 July as the two teams prepare for the new 2022-2023 season.
