Saudi Arabia’s Al Faisali was eliminated from the AFC Champions League final price by losing 0-1 to Foolad Khuzestan, Iran, on Monday at Al Thumama Stadium in Doha.
Foolad dominated most of the first half, but did not pose a danger to Al Faisali’s goal, except for a direct free kick from Spanish midfielder Roberto Torres, which came just over the crossbar.
Al-Faisali, on the other hand, played organized defensively, relying on counterattacks, none of which posed a threat to the Iranian goal.
After a negative first half, Foolad managed to score the only goal of Sasan Ansari’s match in the 64th minute in the second half, securing a place in the quarter-finals.
