Activists interacted with a winning tweet from SpaceX and Tesla founder Elon Musk, who recently took over Twitter, which he acquired in a massive deal.
Today, Friday, Musk tweeted: “Bird released.” Congratulatory comments followed, accompanied by sarcastic expressions.
After completing the $44 billion purchase, Musk fired Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal, CFO Ned Segal and Head of Legal Policy, Security and Safety Vijay Ghadi, sources said.
Musk previously issued an open statement to advertisers in which he explained his reasons for buying the platform, and these reasons include “humanitarian aid.”
Billionaire Musk said, “It’s important for the future of civilization to have a shared digital urban arena where a wide range of beliefs can be discussed in a healthy, non-violent way.”
He expressed concern that social media could “generate more hatred and divide our society” into rooms where extremism is sung.
