Spanish newspaper AS expected Sergi Roberto to miss Barcelona due to an injury he sustained during a 4-1 match against guest Athletic Bilbao on matchday 11 of the league.
Serge Roberto, who recently shone at Barcelona, scored his team’s second goal against Athletic Bilbao 18 minutes into the first half in a meeting that brought them together on Sunday night before suffering a shoulder injury.
Barcelona have not made any official statement regarding the length of the player’s absence, but the Madrid newspaper AS has set the length of his absence at four weeks.
The newspaper indicated that Roberto would have to be out of Barcelona for up to a full month, meaning he would not be able to play for the Catalan team again until the 2022 World Cup in Qatar next month.
