In a world where more and more individuals are opting to work from home or outside the office, Acer has introduced a new portable laptop aimed at professionals who are always on the go. The Swift Edge is a 2.58-pound, 16.7-inch OLED laptop with a magnesium-aluminum chassis that is only 0.51 inches thick. That weights less than the 2.73-pound 13.6-inch M2 MacBook Air and the 2.62-pound 16-inch LG Gram.

It has a screen that is a 4K OLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate and a thin bezel around it, giving it a screen-to-body ratio of 92 percent. Users may play current games in 1080p thanks to the model’s AMD Ryzen 6000 and Pro 6000 CPUs, which also have integrated RDNA2 graphics.

When more individuals opt to work from home or outside the office, Acer has launched a new portable laptop aimed at professionals who are always on the go. With a magnesium-aluminum chassis that is only 0.51 inches thick and 2.58 pounds in weight, the Swift Edge is a 16-inch OLED laptop. That weights less than the 16-inch LG Gram, which weighs 2.62 pounds, and the 13.6-inch M2 MacBook Air, which weighs 2.73 pounds.

A FHD (1,920 x 1,080) camera and compatibility with Microsoft’s Pluton security processor architecture, which adds to Windows 11 PCs’ security, are additional features. The laptop also contains a Noble Wedge Lock slot and a fingerprint reader. This month, Acer will launch its first Swift Edge laptop in North America, with pricing beginning at $1,500. Prices start at €1,499 in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, while they start at RMB 7,999 in China.
