AC Milan and Marseille compete for Moroccan Ziyech

AC Milan, the owners of the Italian football league, are facing competition from French club Marseille for the signing of Chelsea playmaker Moroccan Hakim Ziyech during this summer’s transfers.

The Moroccan star welcomes his departure from Chelsea this summer in light of the fact that he hasn’t been able to play continuously in recent periods under German manager Thomas Tuchel.

Italian website TotoMercato Web stated that Milan are facing competition from Marseille, who are also looking to strengthen their attacking line by including Ziyech.

He pointed out that there is a problem that stands in the way of both Milan and Marseille in the way of including Ziyech, featured in the great player’s salary, as the Moroccan star demands an annual salary of around 7 million euros.

Ziyech, 29, joined Chelsea in 2020 from Ajax in a deal that cost the English club €40m.

It is worth noting that Ziyech did not play for the Moroccan national team for almost two years due to disagreements with the coach of the Atlas Lions, the Bosnian Wahid Halilhodzic.
