Abdollahyan discussed with Guterres the nuclear dossier, Ukraine and Yemen

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahyan discussed the course of negotiations on the Iranian nuclear deal, the situation in Ukraine and Yemen and other issues in a telephone conversation with the UN Secretary General.

And an Iranian foreign ministry statement Friday morning said that Abdollahyan, commenting on the technical dialogue between the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency, called the cooperation between the two sides “useful.”

According to the statement, Abdollahian briefed the UN Secretary-General on the exchange of messages between Iran and the United States as part of the Vienna talks on returning to the nuclear deal.

Speaking about Yemen, Abdollahian stressed: “Iran’s continued role in helping to extend the truce and cooperating with the United Nations in this regard.

Regarding the conflict in Ukraine, the Iranian minister reiterated his denial of “sending any drones to Russia for the purpose of using them in the conflict.”

Abdollahian criticized Western positions on the protests in Iran, accusing the Western media of “fomenting violence and teaching how to make Molotov cocktails and weapons, which led to police casualties and destabilization” in the country.
