90 Prisoners Freed After Negotiations Between Russia and Ukraine

The Russian Defense Ministry announced the return of 90 Russian servicemen from the territories controlled by Kyiv as a result of the negotiation process with the Ukrainian side.

“On March 7, as a result of the negotiation process, 90 Russian servicemen were returned from the territory controlled by the Kiev regime,” the ministry said in a statement, noting that the Russian army’s soldiers who were in captivity were at risk of death.

The ministry confirmed that the released servicemen will be taken to Moscow aboard a military transport aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces, where they will undergo treatment and rehabilitation at the medical institutions of the ministry. They added that “all those released receive the necessary medical and psychological assistance.”

On February 16, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the return of 101 Russian soldiers from the territory controlled by Kyiv as a result of a negotiation process with the Ukrainian side.
