4.3 magnitude earthquake strikes western Turkey

An earthquake of magnitude 4.3 hit the Soma region in the state of Manisa in western Turkey.

The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) said in a statement on Sunday that the quake struck at 14:55 (GMT +3).

The statement added that the shock occurred at a depth of 10.84 km below the surface of the earth.
